This is a family home in a historic building in Vilnius.
The old layout of the rooms has been completely changed. The former dark and cramped dwelling has been transformed into a light and airy home.
As soon as you enter the apartment, you enter the main space – the kitchen and living room area. Here, the eye is drawn to a massive and sculptural piece of furniture (the island) that separates the dining and lounge areas. The kitchen furniture and the island are made of natural concrete and natural oak veneer. The handles are made of painted metal and are unique for this apartment. The living area is accentuated by a yellow sofa.
From the living room, a mirror-covered portal leads to a small lounge. The hall leads to the bedroom. Here, a walk-through wardrobe has been created, separated from the bedroom by a translucent partition made of ribbed glass.
The bathroom has been slightly enlarged to meet the needs of the residents. It was important to create a cosy and warm atmosphere in this room. The most striking feature of the bathroom is the exposed old brick wall and the concealed lighting that highlights it.
The interior design was inspired by the creative and contemporary nature of the apartment’s inhabitants, their hobbies and lifestyle.
